Hey Guys I have a question. Is it possible for a christian to have an unclean spirit. Let me rephrase that, can you be a christian and still have an unclean spirit. How does one become truly delivered.

If anyone lacks wisdom let him ask for it.

I think we can as Christians have an unclean spirit (we are human not perfect) and when this happens... we have to bury our heads for prayer... and really spend that intimate time w/God asking Him to renew us, b/c we need a revival... wash us whiter than snow... give me a clean heart Lord... let Him know that we are trying to walk the walk He set for us... b/c we want to do His will.... rebuke the (((inner me))) far too many times we blame the ((enemy))) when it is self... so when our spirit is unclean... ask God to remove self.... and replace it w/Him!!!!!!

Hey Y'all,

Remember the Bible says that we are new creatures in Christ Jesus. Under the new covenant God has already given us a new heart that is cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

Also remember that we are temples of God. God would not dwell in a temple that is holy and God does share room with anything unholy. So if you're a born again Christian you are clean and the only way you can be unclean is if you were no longer saved.

so as long as you are a Christian you cannot have a unclean spirit. C'mon Anthony... you taking too long. Smile

True it is your flesh. But your flesh didn't get recreated 2Cor5:7 your spirit did. Your human spirit got born again John 3:3. The Bible says you are broken down into three parts 2Thess 5:23 spirit, soul and body. I like the way this one minister said it "you are a spirit you have a soul and you live in a body. Now when you refer to yourself as holy, saint, overcomer, redeemed and all that good stuff. That is all because of your spirit being transformed. Your flesh is not holy, and doesn't make you a saint. That's why paul said I keep my body under.

well the bible does say we become new when we are truly in Christ
2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
There are many referring scriopture that indicate our spirits are renewed once we are in Christ thanks the good Lawd for that ...lol

Also in Romans 6:4 - Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Once we are washed by the blood of thelamb we are new creatures
we willmess up and do sinful things but that does not mean we are cast away from GOD or unclean it just means that we had a moment of weakness and fell.
It does happen this is a hard walk sometimes because of what life throws in your path but becuase of our faith and delivarance we are overcomers.
An unclean spirit and clean spirt can't live in the same body it's conflicting spirits, being unequally yolked.
It's not possible we worship GOD with our spirits you can't worship him with an unclean spirit we have to worship in spirit and truth,If our worship comes from the spirit how can we go before the throne of grace how can enter into his presence.
Create in me a clean heart and renew in me a right spirit

I john says we have overcome and have victory in Christ. Demon possession isnt possibly for those"in" Christ.

However, you can willing be oppressed by unclean spirits and be deceived by them.
